My family has a place at the beach in South Carolina. We find lots of poisionous snakes and spiders. Usually Brown recluses, and copperheads. But I've also seen Cottonmouths, and even coral snakes and black widows. This is probably because the house sits on the edge of a 17000 acre wildlife preserve.

I wasn't sure how bad the bite from a Brown Recluse was until I looked up pictures on the internet. I'm wearing shoes from now on when I go outside.
