Unfortunately, the original bit was aired way back in June '03 shortly after the movie came out, so I think we're all a little behind the curve here! In the future, I think it would have been more worthwhile to write sponsors like CBS & Tetra to tell them we don't appreciate this kind of idiotic misinformation being spread. Here we are pretty much preaching to the choir, and I think you don't have to be tang police to know that this is a bunch of bull.

Never underestimate the stupidity of the average American consumer though, I have seen similar pieces from Trading Spaces & other home decor shows that got my blood boiling... mostly about how using differently colored bettas in 1/2 cup glass bowls can accent your living room & bring in more color (and if they die, well, they cost less than cut flowers, so can be easily replaced). This is a new low to be branching out into marine fish.
