Hey all,

Just thought I would report back in after the storm. We got lucky as it went east of us. We got 50mph sustained winds and 70mph gusts. We had some very brief power outages, but nothing longer than 1 minute.

We only got 2" of rain which sucks because we are in the middle of a HUGE drought. Oh well, I'll take the minor damage and little rain We did lose our upstairs airconditioner, but the rest of the house is fine. Probably just a fried circuit that can be replaced relatively cheap.

We wanted to leave Houston but the traffic was snarled. Our assigned evacuation route was 290 and it was a parking lot. The police wouldn't let us take other roads, so we just stayed home and camped out in our closet

I'm getting plywood in the next 3-4 weeks and will precut it now. Next time we can plywood up and leave 3-4 days before it hits.

Thanks for the comments and support, made dealing with it just a little easier.

Brian
