either way, ive noticed no difference. no micro bubbles either so no need to baffle the skimmer effluent...

Good to know on the micro bubbles. If the sock clogs too quickly running the drain through it, I'm probably just going to remove it. The media chambers should prevent any micro bubbles from making it back to the return, and I'm really too lazy to change the filter sock on a daily basis
