I would not de skin the original tank stand if its store bought most of the stands you buy are designed so that the ply wood skin supports the weight not the frame inside of it. Building a new stand is a better Idea. With my 25 0 I built a stand similar to everyone else’s but I added a plywood top to help disperse the weight more evenly. Sorry no pics my camera is shot.
