There is also a drain at the bottom of the skimmer, so it can be totally drained for cleaning.
For those of you who are not familiar w/ this skimmer, let me give you some more info. It has custom designed Dart needle wheel made and tested by Spazz, which requires a special housing to be made by Baldor. It's approximately 18" wide and 4 & 1/2 feet tall. It will hold around 40 gal when in operation.
