I'm with you Hodge on your wanting to make the RSM skimmer perform! As good a total system as inspired our purchase of the RSM, the stock skimmer issue seems to be the most frustrating and discussed!
Reefmack gave me some sage advice when he suggested that I begin my RSM entirely stock, except for the addition of the Hydor Koralia 1, which seems to be everyones favorite choice!
I personally have not contacted Red Sea directly concerning the skimmer, but has ANYONE discussed stock skimmer performance issues with the folks at Red Sea?
Are they working on improving the RSM's skimmer performance? Maybe a simple 'mod kit'?
I for one would be happy to pay a modest price for a 'mod kit' of Red Sea design, to improve the skimmer's performance!
