Dangerous to do too many water changes?

I've got a 75 gallon reef tank, and I usually perform a 7 gallon water change once a week. I was really busy last week and skipped a water change, and I noticed my nitrates climbed uncomfortably high (around 10-15 ppm). I performed the regular water change and it dropped to about 8, but I am wondering if it's necessary to wait a certain period of time before performing another water change. I was thinking of giving it another 2 days, but I'm aware that my water contains not only nitrates, but all the good stuff too, so will an extra water change negitively impact my tank, even though the nitrates are a bit higher than normal? Normaly my nitrate ranges from 0-5 ppm, but there have been some new additions recently...

Thank you.
