Yep, every time. And the skimmer neck is the same diameter from the bottom edge inside the skimmer body all the way up to the joint where it meets the collection cup, so you can insert as little or as much of the neck into the chamber as you want. Now that it's in the sump, I only have maybe 1/2" going down into the chamber.
