If its RO and not DI it will not have much effect if any on drinking water. If you let RO water sits for days on end you might get a slightly elevated copper level in the first ounce or two you draw but probably not enough to even measure. The first Watts Premier drinking water system I bought back in 1996 had a bronze compression tee coming off the bladder tank and it was there in the same condition years later.
