Try using Seachem Reef Plus. IMO, it is basically either skimmate or the water left after dissolving frozen foods. When I was new at saltwater, I put this in my 30G and my Seaclone (LOL) skimmed it right out. That's about all that Seaclone ever skimmed out too.
