My superskimmer is super loud
The motor in my Coralife Superskimmer is driving me up the wall. I don't know if it's just old and worn-out or what, but it's loud and grating. Definitely the weak link in my sound chain.

The Deltec HLP 4040 pump is 1000 gph @ 60 watts = 16.7 watts per gallon. Better than Ocean Runner, but still can't beat Rio.
Please, people, prove me wrong.

Ocean Runner 3500 is 900 gph @ 65 watts = 13.9 gallons per watt, about half as efficient.
