We really don't know how to feed them, so they always starve to death. The sad part is it takes them long long time, and people hardly think of starvation when the poor thing finally succumbs.

I have two eunicids in my tank. They're both about 20 cm in length. They devoured my Stomatella snails and probably other things. None the less, I think they're great, and enjoy watching them.

He might be molting, and he ain't got nowhere to go (or does he?). I would say he's in danger of being eaten, for he has an exposed abdomen. Think scampi á la hermit. :)

Or, get some crushed coral for a local reefer. I've noticed that mysid shrimps prefer a substrate like that - either crushed coral or LR rubble.

Looks like a Stomatella snail, a harmless grazer. If you don't know what an animal does, and you see no detrimental effect on your stock, there is really no reason to ban it, is it?
