I also agree that a check valve is likely to fail. It might even be easier to put the pvc farther over the tank drill a small hole in that and run the locline after there.

I prefer ceramic plugs. I know thefilterguys carry them. They don't crumble like the aragonite ones do and they don't have to be cured.

I have one and gave it a week of tweaking and then gave up

just do larger WaterChanges instead of wasting money on this thing.

the only issue I see is trying to find replacement bulbs and with it not having IceCap SLR reflectors you are losing a lot of PAR value to bulb restrike.
