Sounds like your tank cooling effects are working great. At any rate running a CL pump only part time will lower your overall house temp a bit.

I have heard that it can be a bit hard on pumps...

No heaters, my pumps keep my tank at 77 to 80 and I choose not to heat anymore.

If your tank remains at anything over 75 I wouldn't bother heating it.

You could always just get more CL pumps...

I usually find the mag of IO to be less then 1200.

I bring it up to 1380 and a lot easier time keeping up my cal and alk, it also stops precip on your pumps.:D
