It might be a good idea to turn the skimmer off...
It might be a good idea to turn the skimmer off while the paint dries. Also a fan blowing out an open window might help.

Mary if you have enough live rock in your tank...
Mary if you have enough live rock in your tank you should remove the bio balls from your wet dry filter this will help lower nitrates.
