Looking at the specs on the Aqua Ultraviolet...

Looking at the specs on the Aqua Ultraviolet website they look like they are very similar. For my application the 57 watt version with the wiper takes up a lot less room and will fit where I need it.

David, the 40 watt and 57 watt Aqua Ultraviolet sterilizers are about the same...

I've got two different diatom filters that I use every day and love them. They make life a lot easier for me. I've never used the DE for pools and would be a little scared of it.
