Most successful tank i have had to this day was a 40 breeder with 2X250 Iwasaki's and 4 VHO 03 URI Actinics. . Two fans in a 10" inch high canopy...... Untouchable growth and coloration... :xD

i beleive to much silicates is the root of the brown spots that will grow on the glass.. i agree some things need them but to much and you get unwanted brown spots on live rock and glass.. So yeah,,...

Kent salt has a bonding agent that contains...
Kent salt has a bonding agent that contains silicates in it from time to time .... thats the only thing that steers me away from kent salt... Glad you made the switch.. you wont be sorry

Nice setup,, any reason why you used 90 degree elbows over 45's? seems that would throttle yoru flow back alot with all that extra resistance.... Love the flush wall look... .
