You can paint it with no problems but if your not sure you can go to a sign shop or decal store and have them cut you a black piece of sticker material to fit you back glass i did it on my old nano...

yea as soon as i get done man this is thick glass i'm using the dremel method i strongly sug. using a hole bit this is the toughest glass i've drilled good luck.
