you can easily tell the difference by smelling it...
you can easily tell the difference by smelling it first, if it stinks really foul/bad then its not cured! on the other hand if its not foul odored then its good to go, hope this helps...

I am suspecting that you found the problem, so get rid of that metal nut as soon as possible and your snails and shrimp will live their full life now remembering your water quality is at risk here...

In my experience i think the plate coral will be fine, just keep an eye on it though because if you start seeing it bubble up or retract its tentacles then that just might be a sign of distress and...

To my knowledge i dont think the megaflow works...
To my knowledge i dont think the megaflow works with the tech-tank based on the dimensions/size of the different overflow structures, one is more rounded off which is the megaflow and the tech series...

if it was me and i had the choice i would not use...
if it was me and i had the choice i would not use it for a reef because of the beneficial bacteria it can zap, on the other hand if it was just a fish only with rock then i would go ahead and run it...

i would go ahead and use the carbon because it takes the impurities, foul smells out of the water and also the yellow coloration which some times exists, hope this helps...
