mine spawn every couple weeks, the fish and corals love it, feeding frenzy. They usually stand up in front of a powerhead to pelt out some eggs.

but what scale do the Elos, Lamotte and Salifert kits measure. ie, how many drops per dKh. I currently use API and would like a bit more certainty.

Is there a constant ratio that one can expect alk and Ca to be utilized by corals and coraline algae? Could one test alk, then assume with some certainty what the Ca value is based past test results...
