they certianly take more time, effort, and money, but the payoffs are big, they grow quickly once theyre up to a decent size, theyre worth quite a bit, and there isnt anything else like a nice sps...

yeah, i just use the cheap old surplus corrosive stuff. works pretty well though, i use hungarian light ball, and get 1.5-2" 5 shot groups if im really steady. just kinda a pita having to clean the...
