not all carbon is filter carbon, you need activated carbon and high quality, otherwise you will put in more bad stuff than you take out

I have seen a ric try to capture a hermit crab once, totally failed...my guess is no way, rics are incapable of catching anything alive that are larger than a pod in my opinion
