Oh learn other tricks such as alt tab and alt shift tab to switch between windows and youll be much happier witha touchpad. I also use alt f4 a lot to close things.

Since you havent made that tank yet, have you considered an external overflow? That would be sweet and you could then drill the back for returns with your closed loop...another reason for the closed...
