The 55RLT is comparable to the 150PS
The 40RLXT ic comparable to the 100PX-X

I had it hanging withsome small chains from home depot so I could raise it up and lower it down as needed. My tank is an in wall, but you could very easily mount it in a 48" hood.

Yes,

It is designed to fit under a 48" hood, so it would be perfect for your 75. I had it over my 110G whic is the same footprint as a 75, but taller.
