I never heard about a fish dipping, but for corals Im curently using a kent marine Tech D. All you have to do is closely follow directions. It will help to reduce any unwanted hitchikers.

It will be ok and it will work as a filter too. But I recommend what sk8r said. With a cheato and good light...much better effect.

Do you mean "cyano"? If so, I have a cyano bacteria in my fuge too and thats a normal. I just dont allow it to spread in main tank.

Not sure about epoxy, but clear silicon I, II and III originaly used for doors and windows is safe and great for glass.

You dont need the airate your tank. Water movement is all you need to oxigenize the water. Also as was said before, get rid of canister or any other mechanical filter and get a skimmer. Good luck...
