I have to say that I totally agree with the QT methods mentioned by ATJ...It is possible to have a tank completely free from ich if proper, stringent QT methods such as hyposalinity/copper are used....

I would be a bit concerned about putting live rock through hypo as I doubt any life on the rock will make it and I would assume coralline would have a tough time as your calcium, carbonate hardiness...
