I also use a sock on my BB 30g SPS. I change it out every 3 or 4 days. I have been contemplating removing it so I can allow all of the small waterborn critters to circulate but I'll prolly leave it....

My tank started to get cloudy a few months after setting it up too. It was as if there was milk added to the water. I was trying to remember what I did exactly to clear it up, I did a 25% WC and...

I bet those 6055s really move the water. I use a single K4 on mine and it seems to be sufficient. I had 2 K4s but I removed one of them due to some PE issues. I am planning to get a couple of 6055s...

That would probably work, a fan would definitely cool that down.

Your tank looks great on the stand and full of water. Maybe you could divert some of the excess water from the Mag9.5 to run a phosban reactor, that would eliminate 1 small pump and 1 less...

I really don't know much about chems. Just the ones that I have to add to my tank. And sometimes I don't know enough about that. I find myself burried in the chem forum frequently.

I wouldn't raise it beyond where you are now without first reading up on the effects of high mag from a reliable source. There is no benefit in doing this unless you are trying to rid your tank of...

Gosh, I'm glad you caught that. You would have needed a 1/2 gallon of mag to raise it that much. And then the salinity would have been sky high too. (probably over 1.030)

Mag levels from 1200-1500...
