thanks for that mate.i mixed the lime water up today and will let it sit for 24 hours then i wil let it drip in around one drip per second,will that be alright at that rate?

that sounds like a good idea running the UV only when you need it.mine turnd up today so i will fit the unit to the tank on the weekend.i will give it a good run for a week or-so and see how it is...
