If the male will release the fry's in your main...
If the male will release the fry's in your main tank they will grind in the pumps / skimmer or will be a gr8 source of proteins to the rest of your fish.
You should transfer the mail to a breeding...

As you'll get more fish the copepodes population will decline and the mandarine fish will have less and less food and eventually...
