I confirmed the alk at 5.6 dkH and used the online calculator and determined I needed 2 tsps of baking soda (unbaked) to get the dkH to 10. I put it in and it only got to 8.6 so I used...

I do not mix my salt awater (buy it from the store) but have not changed the water yet so don't know the chem on it .. only dosing in RO water...

Yes I have a refugium but it runs on the same cycle as the main tank --- I heard about the reverse cycle on there refugium but never really did it - don't know why...
