I'd save the money on the electric bill and get some T5 lighting on that tank. You can do any coral with 6x54w T5 bulbs on the 75g. For fixtures, if you have the funds, go for an ATI or Fauna Marin...

The flow from the Korallia is more gentle and not like a strong narrow stream. IMO, I would get at least 3 Korallia number 4's. Heck, even 4 of those would be nice!

If were to setup the Velocity T4 pump, I would imagine that by the time the water makes it's way up, there wouldn't be much flow at all. Why would this pump be a better choice than the Hammerhead...

IMO, it's not a good idea to have an SPS tank without any additives because you would have to supplement Ca, Alk, and Mg some how. Although this can be done through many water changes, it doesn't...

No, carbon doesn't help with hair algae. GFO media such as Phos-Ban or RowaPhos will get rid of the phosphates which are what gives you the hair algae.

I disagree with the peristaltic pumps clogging statement because if you have a good enough dosing pump such as the LM3, then there shouldn't be any clogs unless absolutely no maintenance is done....

I'd get 700gph going through the return and (3) Koralias number 3. One would go on each side of the tank and the other can go in the back of the tank behind a rock.
