You need to have a constant temp not one that is fluctuating. Always make sure your temp is stable before adding anything. Don't put the fish in the tank...

I had reef crystals but the Ca and Mg were always so low that I had to suppliment the water before changes. Red Sea Pro has High Ca and Mg but lower Alk.

Sorry to jump in this thread but I planned to use that exact scheme to setup my Ca and Alk but the calculator does not have an option in the drop down list for Kent supper dKh.
