I lose way fewer snails at the cooler temps.
This also comes helps when I do have a problem and the temp rises. It has a little fudge room before it becomes a major issue.

Prime 1/4 hp Chiller.
Keeps my 120 gallon between 76 and 78 degrees.
Not a cheap way to go but completely effective at protecting your tank.
