Once you solve the nitrite probem, the wet/dry will build up nitrAte quickly. I would opt for a different filtration type. A refugium would be nice.

I dont see how fixture would change the spectrum of a bulb. Thats simply not possible. I would suggest finding a bulb/fixture combination that are rated for each other.
