1) 24" cube originally was not a fish tank with the exception of the corner bracing I don't think you can tell. Stand is home made but sturdy. Tank is drill in back for 2-1.5" bulkheads and 2-3/4?...

I don't see a problem with a ball valve up towards the top for maintenance purposes I have them on mine so the sump doesn't fill up any more than normal when I'm diddling around in the sump. Course...
