I voted "no", but I do have an American DJ power strip (this is just on off switches and has no power conditioning or surge protection) and I do use a GFCI which is a fancy fuse and also not a surge...

Just use hot water on a paper towel follwed by a quick wipe down with a dry paper towel - no chemicals involved and no smears on the glass.
