I was thinking they weren't vermetids only because the vermetids I've seen look nothing like these. But shows you how much I know. :-)

I've been told that you could wrap the rock in wet newspaper, and it should be ok certainly for a couple hours. I've never ordered LR online, but supposedly they ship rock wrapped in wet newspaper....
