I have a decent u tube overflow that worked well...

I have a decent u tube overflow that worked well for me. I don't think I ever had a total siphon loss in a power loss. The only time I had any loss of siphon was during water changes and what not....

I run my lights in a reverse cycle from the main tank lights. I would also wait a little bit to see if your bubbles go away if they are getting better it is just a break in time. Good luck.
