Thor32766; I think you need more of a pressure head than the dart is capable of putting out. It is a low pressure circulation pump (a very good one). If you try it let us know how it works.

I've read that old metal halide bulbs might cause it. I let my bulbs go 18 monthes and I got it. Just changed by bulbs so I don't know if this will take care of it or not.

I use a EV-180 and it's a good skimmer but be sure to get a size bigger pump than recommended. Install a good gate valve on the output of the pump or pinch air off to controll skimmate.

OM 4-way and a dart works great for me. Doesn't give as good flow as a wave2k IMO. I use both on seperate tanks and the wave2k gives better flow hands down.
