Anthias with a fat lip?

I am wondering if my anthias is developing a fat lower lip. I remember back in the freshwater days some fish would develop growths on their lips that resembled warts....does that happen to sw fish...

if you look at ER or even ASM skimmers, they use thinwall gray PVC pipe and it is NOT sch80 wall thickness...probably half the thickness of sch 40 if that. obviously the application would be low...
