Just had to chime in here, My Mg levels have been at 1600 for almost 6 months, and my Bryopsis doesnt seem to mind at all. In fact I didnt lose any of my algae the good or the bad.

I have used alot of different kinds of lights on my fuge and got a little growth but nothing compared to the 60w household bulb in a clamp on fixture running 24 hours. Grows like crazy!!
