Pacific Coast Powerheads, better than Tunze?

Never heard of these pumps before, but they claim to push 5,000-12,00 GPH at 38 watts. They look just like Tunze pumps from the pictures. $240 for each pump. Also has a multi-controller.

Here's...

Yes, I'm fully aware that T5's give out more PAR while using less energy and less heat. I never said they didn't.

URI actinics are light years ahead of any T5 actinic. More energy being used, but VHO's are worth it.

I don't think you'll need 8 of them though.

Colored Bottoms on BB Tanks?

What does everyone think of a colored bottom (IE black acrylic, blue or white acrylic) pane in a BB SPS tank? I think a black background with a black acrylic bottom would look pretty sharp.

Why would you put Sfiligoi in with Aqua-Medic? I've never heard any Sfiligoi owners say they were unhappy.

Turboflotor 1000 vs. Octopus NW-200

Since reading excellent reviews from Aqua-Medic turboflotor skimmers I'm considering them over Octopus. I've read that some guy uses a T-1000 on a 125 SPS and another guy uses one on a 180 SPS.

Does anyone know how these skimmers compare to Octopus or ATI?

I'm really interested in an Aqua-Medic skimmer for a 75 gallon heavily stocked SPS tank.

Schuran Pico reactors are awesome. They can easily handle SPS tanks at 125 gallons. The ASD model looks well built but I highly doubt it could compare to the Schuran model.

Grotech also has a...

The absolute best bulb for growth would be an Iwasaki 65K with a PFO magnetic ballast. Check it on Sanjay's website, it gives out way more PAR than other 250 watters with similar kelvin ratings.

ETSS Skimmers?

Does anyone here have experience with ETSS skimmers? How do they compare to other skimmers?

I'm considering either the 900 XR or the Evolution 750 for a 75 gallon SPS tank.

wave2k's work pretty good but don't expect to get a more than a years use out of it. Xenus wavemakers make awesome waves and they're made by Sfiligoi so they're engineered well.
