I don' like using crushed coral in a small tank.... Use Live Rock and Pure sand..... my N Wenn. Loves to dig in the sand and move everything...

You would have been fine if you would have put a piece of plexiglass the size of on the bottom, to line it. I did that with mine to make sure he doesn't break the bottom.

Toss that Wal-Mart heater...they are junk and they fail and have killed many a persons whole tank.... They have no thermostat and you can't set them.
I wanted a small one and I have great luck...

The 5.5 gallon aquariums are the same price as the 2.5 but its so much easier to keep a constant salinity rate , parameters...
