I've been dosing mag cl/epsom salt gradually till...
I've been dosing mag cl/epsom salt gradually till my mg at 1400ppm. I could see the bryopsis is declining. Works for me. My phosphate and nitrate are both 0, and my cheato's lighting is at 24hrs.

The overflow should go to the skimmer compartment...
The overflow should go to the skimmer compartment first, then to DSB or refuge. Then pump out to the main tank. IMO

Your pump size should suit the type of venturi...
Your pump size should suit the type of venturi you are using. Those 3/4" ones should use at least 2500l/hr pumps. Typically eheim 1260 and above.

Yeah, I heard the UV helps to kill those itch protozoan that floats around. But those parasite which already stuck to the fish, not much help from the UV. Give more garlic to increase the fishes...
