My SFE will eat anything, fish, shrimp, crab, mussels, I have even trained it to eat pellets from the surface. My friends SFE on the other hand will only eat whole prawns, so go figure!

try not feeding it for a day or two and wait till it start looking around for something to eat before offering more food, my lion took a week to start feeding and then only took another 1 1/2 weeks...

this is about the best i can do with the dig. camera i have got, this pic shows the fish in a resting state; when it is swimming around or when startled, the fish erects its largish dorsal fin/spines

My grouper will eat anything that moves, i trained it to eat floating cichlid pellets really easily. A great fish for predator tanks, with great personality

yep got the hatchery right next to the rotifer...

yep got the hatchery right next to the rotifer tank, i'm already hatching BBS for my baby seahorses so it's easy to hatch some more for clown fry

sexing is a hot topic, best to do a search both here and on the net, some say dorsal fin length, some say jaw shape.......two males will fight so choose your two very carefully

spawning behaviour?

the akindynos pair in my 55g tank has been digging a large (7 inch across) pit under their BTA. Is this spawning behaviour or just territoral, as of yet there has been no courting or rock cleaning
