I do remember the piston air pumps. I think little giant was one, they were more expensive than the vibrator type pumps. My protein skimmer was a plastic hang on the tank with an air stone.

Using the plastic bag but with an ionizer (easier to get) may work. In Europe the ionizers are used to freshen the air and remove odors.

Heck with the respect this is probably the best ROI. They usually get at least one new higher paying job offer a week. This was true in the late 1980's and I was told recently nothing had changed.
