2x400 keeps it simple and you lose less to the center brace. There are plenty of reflectors that will get you good coverage over that tank.

Yep, need to let it burn in, and swap ballasts. I have heard other stories about these fixtures, involving very yellow operation, even with 14k bulbs. That thread was kicking around here somewhere....

On our 125, we run moonlights that are tied to the same timer as the reverse cycle sump light. So, they are on pretty much whenever the last real lights go off. Pretty cool looking stuff.
