well, just keep looking for him at night and create a "spear" so you can stab him if he reappears.... you can always use a trap if you dont like to kill...

I keep mine about 20 inches below a 400w MH about 6 inches above the aquarium so I do not think you will have a problem with to strong of lighting but higher in your tank might now be a bad choice....
