What do you feed the rest of your fish. They look really well. I don't see any HLLE, like many other tanks have (especially the tangs and angels).

Just a thought, but I had major diatom problems when I used TmPRo or regular TM salt. Both tested for high silicate levels (my straight RO/DI levels were undetectable).

Kinda looks to me like it has HLLE. I would start giving it more greens in it's diet. Rod's food is mostly meat based. Acanthurus tangs need lots of greens in their diet.

That is strange, I have a 1" baby and the stripe does stop at the eye. I have seen several unusually colored hippos - including one with no blue oval and one with no black at all.
